As a member of Long Island Yacht Share you will have the opportunity to take advantage of a boat share program that allows turnkey boating for a fraction of the cost with no maintenance responsibility.

As a member you will have exclusive use to your fully serviced and professionally cleaned boat share based on a predetermined calendar.  Long Island Yacht Share keeps a weekly maintenance schedule, so each time you take to the beautiful Long Island waterways you can be certain that your boat will be in ship shape condition.

Joining a Boat Share is a great opportunity for both the inexperienced boater and the seasoned veteran.  All members, regardless of prior experience, have the opportunity to spend a full day at sea with a licensed captain who will train you on the proper berthing and safe operation of your chosen boat share.  Your membership also includes all costs associated with maintenance, cleaning, insurance, sea tow and marina costs.

There are two ways to begin boating with Long Island Yacht Share

• Place a reservation on any of the boat shares from our featured boat page and choose either the weekender or overnighter usage plan.  Once your membership is reserved we will work to place the remaining boat shares¹ with other members.  After all boat shares have been placed the boat will be purchased and delivered.

• You may join an already existing boat share from our available boat shares page.

¹ If we are unable to place the remaining boat shares with other members after a predetermined timeframe, your initial boat share deposit becomes refundable.
